Daniel is a radio host on 96.3 Classical Music FM and an internationally renowned concert pianist. Born in Windsor, Ontario, he has performed to great acclaim throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Not only does Daniel possess extraordinary technique, but his deep understanding and interpretation of the world’s great music are exceptional. Among his many interests, he is the founder of the Collingwood Music Festival and a devoted supporter of various charitable organizations, including Varietas Ensemble, which performs recitals for children with disabilities.
AMAC audiences will remember him as the host of A Life in Music in October 2024, when he introduced and interviewed 90-year-old pianist Valerie Tryon. His natural charm, knowledge, and humour, already beloved by his “Classical Jukebox” listeners, endeared him to a whole new audience of admirers on that occasion, and we are all greatly looking forward to welcoming him back to Peller Hall.
This time, he will both perform and speak, giving the audience not only a superb piano recital, but also inviting them into the stories and insights behind his chosen program with his usual flair and enthusiasm.
This is a concert not to be missed. You do not have to travel to New York or London to hear one of the most unique, gifted, and entertaining musicians classical music has to offer; just the delightfully joyous town of Ancaster.
