You’d be hard pressed to find a performer who gets Elvis quite like Michaels.
The 68 Comeback & ALOHA from Hawaii, featuring internationally acclaimed world champion STEVE MICHAELS as ELVIS PRESLEY.
After 7 years out of the spotlight, Presley made his triumphant to the stage after a stint in the Army and flirting with HOLLYWOOD and the movies. ELVIS put on one of the most memorable shows in his lifetime. Clad in Black Leather, he was BACK, the swagger, the looks and the voice seemed stronger than ever. The 68 COMEBACK Special slayed the ratings for that TV season with a 42% Nielson rating.
ALOHA from HAWAII remains the most watched concert in television history. Elvis Presley took the island by storm in 1973 and put out one of the most incredible performances in his lifetime. It is estimated that ALOHA from HAWAII was disbursed via satellite among 36 countries and viewed by 1.5 BILLION people.
ANCASTER…Get ready for the musical journey of a lifetime as Steve Michaels pays homage to the King of Rock and Roll with BOTH of these historic concerts in the same night!
Elvis Presley arrived in the 1950s as the young singer who brought rock and roll into the centre of popular culture, then exploded into film stardom, and later returned as the live performer of the decade with the 1968 comeback and the touring years that followed. Very few artists have songs so instantly tied to different phases of their life and career. “Hound Dog,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” and “Viva Las Vegas” still point to different Elvises. This show will cover it all, performed by the best!
Steve Michaels entered the world of the King in the mid-1990s and has now spent more than twenty-five years performing professionally across North America, the UK, Asia, and Australia. In 2001, he even won the Images of Elvis World Competition in Memphis.
