Pink Floyd Niagara has been performing since 2007 and has grown into one of the most substantial tribute productions in the country. The current lineup includes Mark Christopher, Allan Colavecchia, Phil Martin, John Ball, Larry Swirek, Eric Price, Stan Smykowy, Tina Vallancourt, Jenn Downie, and Sue Urie, giving the band the size and range this music needs, with multiple vocalists, dual keyboards, saxophone, and a full concert presentation built around the detail of the original recordings.
Pink Floyd began in London in 1965, first as part of the city’s underground scene, growing rapidly to one of the bands that changed what music could be. From The Dark Side of the Moon to The Wall, they made records that were ambitious, strange, and hugely popular, and they did it without losing the songs at the centre.
For many people, those songs are already tied to specific years, people, and places. That is what makes a good Pink Floyd tribute worth seeing. When the band on stage can nail the arrangements, the harmonies, and the patience of the originals, “Wish You Were Here,” “Time,” and “Comfortably Numb” hit like few other pieces can.
Peller Hall is an accessible venue with parking available behind Memorial and in nearby lots, and bar service on site. Each show will be presented in two 60-minute sets with a break in between for drinks. Tickets are available only through our box office online or at 905 304 3232.
