Sundays in the Salon: ‘Dreams of Autumn and Winter’
The Ancaster Memorial Arts Centre is delighted to introduce an enchanting new Sunday Afternoon Music Series, inviting audiences to experience the timeless elegance of the 19th century European salons.
Complementing the music, sommelier Ivan Zeljeznjak will present two carefully curated wines, inspired by each program’s theme and guide guests through their aromas and flavours.
Set within the beautifully reimagined Voortman Studio Theatre, each intimate afternoon will feature our internationally acclaimed Artist-in-Residence Valerie Tryon for performances of some of the world's most beloved and popular piano masterpieces.
At the heart of the Salon stands our magnificent antique 1877 Steinway & Sons Semi-Concert Grand Rosewood Piano Model B (Provenance of Mr. Graeme Hepburn), lovingly restored by master piano technician Ross Johnson, and surrounded by café-style bistro tables where guests can savour fine wines as Valerie plays.
Whether you come on your own or gather friends around a table, these unforgettable Sunday afternoons promise beauty and inspiration: a perfect way to refresh the spirit before the week ahead.
