In this intimate rendition brought to you by the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra together with the COSA opera company at the Ancaster Memorial Centre, discover or rediscover the story of the serial seducer, always closely followed by his valet Leporello, on his heartless streak of deceptions. But as handsome and seductive as he may be, how long can one carry one in such a thick web of lies and arrogance before having to deal with its consequences?
Acclaimed stage director Melissa Bencic brings to life Mozart’s masterpiece in an accessible and condensed, 90-minute version, seamlessly blending traditional and modern elements in her staging. The cast features some of the most promising Canadian singers and accompanied by the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra chamber ensemble led by conductor James Kahane.
