The Drowsy Chaperone

As the houselights dim, a man settles into his easy chair and puts on his favourite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and under his loving and wryly humourous commentary The Drowsy Chaperone begins. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight. This Youth Series show features our young performers from the Stage 3: The Young Company program. Students in grades 9-12 have their chance to showcase their growing talents in this exciting production.
