The newly formed Escarpment Blues Society is celebrating its launch on May 28th with a blues party and we’ve invited some of our closest friends. A registered not-for-profit based in Hamilton, the goal of the Escarpment Blues Society is to strengthen awareness and appreciation of blues and roots music while at the same time put the emphasis on growth. With performances from some of the best in Canadian blues, including Harrison Kennedy, Jack de Keyzer, Dawn Tyler Watson, Suzie Vinnick, Steve Marriner, and Steve Strongman all backed by The EBS Allstars (Colin Lapsley, Jesse O'Brien, Matt Burns & Roly Platt), The Escarpment Blues Society launch party will be an evening to remember.

Theatre Ancaster’s popular concert series (British Invasion, Divas: the Concert, and many more) continues with a tribute to the iconic music and artists of Motown. You’ll be dancing in the aisles and singing along to hit after hit! It's a concert spectacle not to be missed with music from Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Jackson Five, The Temptations, and many more. In a first for Theatre Ancaster, this show features Harrison Kennedy, a Motown legend, in a special guest appearance!
It is very helpful to work from life when learning to paint. Observation, colour-mixing and brushwork are all enhanced with this introductory painting course. During six courses, each student will create an 18" X 24" acrylic painting on canvas. We will emphasize good composition and light and shading in the painting. All course materials will be supplied. 6:30-9pm.
This comprehensive six-week course is meticulously designed to delve into the core principles of proficient drawing techniques. Utilizing an array of drawing mediums, every session is strategically focused on enhancing composition skills and bolstering self-assurance in your drawing abilities. All requisite materials for the course will be provided. Course Schedule: Wednesdays, April 24th through May 29th, 1-4pm.
